黄褐色～黄赤褐色を帯び、肌目は粗いが、美しい木目が特徴。
構造材や造作材全般、和・洋家具に使われる。

タモ(ash)モクセイ科
ヤチダモともいい、色は淡い黄白色～灰褐色で
肌目は粗いが弾力性に富むことからバットやスキー板に使われることでも知られる。北欧家具などに使われるホワイトアッシュはアメリカタモといわれ同類。

wood sometimes used for baseball bats and skis. White ash is same kind

黄白色～黄褐色を帯び、肌目はやや粗いが、加工性が良く、家具や装飾材、楽器、ケヤキなどの模擬材として使われることがある。西洋家具のマホガニーもセンダン科。

耐防虫害性が高く、造作材全般、家具、構造材、彫刻材などに使われる。

白色～淡い紅色～濃い赤褐色、時に黒色。肌目はやや粗いが、独特の香気を放つ。柔らかく軽いので加工性が良く、構造材、家具や工芸品など広く使われる。
